InterVarsity is a campus ministry established in 1941 that serves over 40,000 students and faculty across more than 700 college campuses in the United States. The organisation helps students and faculty explore faith, build authentic friendships, and pursue discipleship through witnessing communities. It maintains welcoming chapters with specific outreaches to athletes, artists, international students, nurses, and ethnic minority groups.
The organisation operates with approximately 1,500 staff members. It is part of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, a movement connected across more than 160 countries. InterVarsity's origins trace to England before expanding to the United States.
Two notable programmes extend InterVarsity's reach beyond campus ministry. InterVarsity Press, a publishing arm founded in 1947, produces resources for the broader church. The Urbana missions conferences call students to participate in global mission and resource the church.
