POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Executive Director to serve as the senior sales executive responsible for leading the Florida Gators Athletics Corporate Partnership Sales organization. Based in Gainesville and reporting to the CCO or UAA designee, this position provides strategic leadership for all partnership sales efforts across the state of Florida, and nationally, overseeing a geographically dispersed team of partnership sales professionals responsible for local, regional, and national revenue generation.

The Executive Director establishes the vision, strategy, structure, and execution of the Partnership Sales department while driving sustainable revenue growth across the UAA’s commercial portfolio. This leader recruits, develops, coaches, and leads a high-performing sales organization while maintaining executive ownership of the UAA’s largest strategic partnership opportunities. Working collaboratively with Partnership Solutions, Client Services, Marketing, Premium Sales, Communications, Florida Victorious, and the University of Florida, this position ensures the UAA delivers innovative partnership solutions that maximize commercial revenue while advancing the UAA’s mission. Above all, this individual demonstrates a hospitality-first approach, leads with integrity and transparency, and is committed to creating mutually beneficial partnerships that advance the mission of the Florida Gators.

This position requires the incumbent to have demonstrated success leading multi-million-dollar partnership revenue organizations; have strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; have exceptional leadership, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of specialization*
  • Eight years of progressive leadership experience in progressive sales, leadership, or leading high-performing sales organizations*
  • Experience negotiating seven- and eight-figure partnership agreements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrated proficiency or strategic familiarity with key partnership and productivity platforms including Digideck, SponsorUnited, Microsoft Office Suite, Blinkfire, and large language models (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to drive efficiency, insight, and innovation across the partnership lifecycle

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in an appropriate area of specialization
  • Twelve or more years of progressive leadership experience in progressive sales, leadership, or leading high-performing sales organizations
  • Experience in D1 athletics, professional sports, media, entertainment, agencies, or enterprise B2B sales leadership

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of listed requirement.
