Colorectal Cancer Alliance

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is the largest US nonprofit dedicated to ending colorectal cancer through patient support, public awareness, and research funding.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance, founded in 1999, is the largest colorectal cancer-specific nonprofit in the United States. It originated as a small online support group started by more than 40 survivors, caregivers, and friends, and has since expanded into a nationwide organisation. A 2016 merger with The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation consolidated its position as the leading nonprofit in this space.

The organisation's mission is to end colorectal cancer within its lifetime by enhancing public understanding and providing support to those affected. Its programmes include the first toll-free helpline for colorectal cancer support, a Buddy Program connecting individuals for peer support, an online chat room, and a Financial Assistance Programme. It also runs BlueHQ, an innovative patient support initiative, and Project Cure CRC, a research funding effort.

The Alliance engages the broader community through events such as the Walk to End Colon Cancer and national conferences, as well as the Lead From Behind awareness campaign. Based in the United States, the organisation operates across the healthcare and nonprofit sectors with a focus on cancer support and research.
