Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1947. The organization operates retail stores and donation centers, using the revenue to fund no-cost career development, training, education, and job placement services. Its mission centers on ending poverty through the power of work, with a focus on empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building stronger communities.
The organization runs several key programs: The Excel Center, an adult high school program; Spark Community Schools, a community school initiative; and Veteran Career Services, which provides specialized career support for veterans. Its sustainable operating model means that shopping and donating directly fund these workforce development and educational offerings.
Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona serves thousands of individuals annually and diverts nearly 100 million pounds of material from landfills each year. The organization operates across Central and Northern Arizona, as well as in Monocacy Valley and the San Francisco Bay area. Its work spans non-profit services, thrift retail, workforce development, and education.
