Evidence Action scales low-cost, evidence-based health interventions - including deworming and safe water programmes - reaching hundreds of millions of people across Africa and Asia.
Evidence Action is a global health organisation that scales proven, low-cost interventions across 11 countries in Africa and Asia. The organisation has a team of over 900 people and has reached an estimated 530 million individuals with its programmes. Its operating model is built on rigorous research and evidence, implementing only solutions with demonstrated effectiveness.
Two flagship programmes account for much of this scale. Deworm the World has delivered over 2 billion treatments to children at a cost of less than $0.50 each, generating an estimated $23 billion in productivity gains. Safe Water Now provides access to clean water for 9.8 million people, having more than doubled its reach in 18 months. Together, these programmes are estimated to have saved over 16,000 children's lives.
The organisation has been recognised as one of the world's most effective charities, a distinction rooted in its commitment to using evidence to inform every operational decision and to iterate on programme design based on measured outcomes.
